What Does This X-ray Report Indicate?

My son had an x-ray taken for Paranasal sinuses. The history is sinus pain. The results were: The Waters view is somewhat suboptimal as the mastoids are seen projecting at the inferior aspect. Otherwise the paranasal sinues are clear. No air fluid levels or soft tissue densities seen in the paranasal sinues. Nasal septum is central. Small osteoma seen in the right frontal sinus also seen on prior study. He has lost his hearing on his left side. Please explain this so I can understand what all this means.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Nice presentation.
Actually your son all sinuses are normal except mastoid region (its an air space behind our ear )

you mentioned history of hearing loss in left side.
most probably your son suffering with mastoiditis.
IT IS SOMETIME ASSOCIATED WITH SEVERE PAIN BUT YOU DIDNT MENTIONED IT.

consult with an ENT specialist , as soon possible , to check out mastoiditis and for effective treatment.
thanks
