Dr.     Dr. AVEYA NATURAL IVF     Sample Collection Date     29/Jan/2017 12:20PM Report Status CYTOLOGYLIQUID BASED CYTOLOGY***,LBCADEQUACY DESCRIPTION:Satisfactory: Adequate number of squamous epithelial cells .CYTOMORPHOLOGICAL CRITERIA:Cervical smears comprising of sheets of intermediate and superficial squamous epithelial cells.Cells are arranged in flat monolayered sheets.Background shows large number of coccobacilli overlapping and bordering the epithelial cells at most places.Inflammatory infiltrate is mild.No trichomonas or fungal hyphae seen. Benign cellular changes of inflammation are seen in epithelial cells. No evidence of dysplasia or neoplasia seen in smears examined.INTERPRETATION: NEGATIVE FOR INTRAEPITHELIAL LESION OR MALIGNANCY; NILM - GARDNERELLA VAGINALIS INFECTION.Note: Advantages of LBC over Conventional Pap Smear:• Majority of cells collected are viewed and not discarded on sampler.• Cells are viewed on a monolayer and show clearer morphology • Obscuring background elements like mucus, blood are not present, thereby improving the pick up rate.Also Available: HPV PCR - the gold standard for cervical cancer screening, diagnosis and treatment.Disclaimer : Gynaecological cytology is a screening procedure subject to both false negative and false positive results.It is most reliable when a satisfactory sample is obtained on a regular and repetitive basis. Hi I think you have got vaginal infection for which you have to take some antibiotics. Otherwise no problem is there in your report. You can repeat it after 3 years.
