What Does This MRI Test Result For Spine Indicate?

My MRI shows posterior right disc protrusion that displaces the right S1 root. There is narrowing of the neural foramina I have had steroid injections and acupuncture with stimulation and trigger point injection all helps with the stiffness but nut the pain. On top of this my two small toes on my right foot are numb and I have a lot of sleepless nights with tossing and turning because my hips are very painful when sleeping on either side What other options are there for pain relief

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

The report says the lower intervertebral disc is protruding out and pressing a nerve, causing the pain and numbness. If physiotherapy and spinal muscle strengthening exercise doesn't help, this might need surgery. Kindly discuss with a spine surgeon.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
