What Does Thickened Heart Muscles Suggest?

I'm a 31 year old woman preganant with my second child & during one of my recent sonograms Doctors said they saw a idiographic spot & explained to me in layman terms as thickened heart muscles. Can you explain me more what could it be? The baby is other wise fine on all genetic screening tests being negative.
thanks

Welcome to HCM

The thickness of muscle is greater than the upper limits of normal
It could be the primary cause (Cardiomyopathy) or consequence of another – like blood pressure…
The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.
