What Does The Transvaginal Comparison Suggest?

Just got an US Pelvis W Transvaginal Comparision done. Findings state no adnexal mass. However they mention endometrial echo is 17mm in diameter which is abnormal and has a heterogeneous appearance. They suggested further evaluation. Is cancer a possibility? if so where would it be located since it doesn t state.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you don't have any cancer in the pelvis but 17mm lesion in the uterus is suspicious. Need to get workup done like hormonal studies CT scan and the chance of it being cancer is there. Consult your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
