What Does The Presence Of Stringy Substance In Stool Suggest?

Hello, I have had a 1 inch long piece of red skin in my stool this morning. It was totally separate from my formed stool. It caught my eye and I examined it. It had fibres in it and would not tare. No blood in stool and stool passed easily. Should I be worried?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

The thing you found in your stool could be a warm or undigested food.

Observe for one more time and confirm it by stool microscopy if possible.

Take albendazole 400 mg tablet single dose.

If it is a worm it may cause anemia and malnutrition and better to get cured.

Even it is not a worm taking a single dose of albendazole does not harm you., it can be used as a preventive measure.
