What Does The Following Ultrasound Result Mean?

Hello,I have had an ultrasound of the abdomen this morning and it was noted that there were 15mm gallstones seen, but there are not features of gallbladder inflammation. No biliary dilatation. CD diameter 5mm. Spleen, pancreas, aorta and kidneys were within normal limits. What does this mean please.Sharon

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is a stone in the gall bladder, which measures 15 mm / 1.5 cm.
2.But there are no features of the inflammation of the gall bladder.
3.And the stone is not causing any obstruction to the bile passage.
4.If this is a incidental finding, you don't have to do any serious action.
5.But slowly you should plan for a elective laperoscopic removal of gall stones. As any day it can be an emergency and that time you need to get an emergency operation.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
