What Does The Following Ultrasound Result Indicate?

I had an ultrasound and the findings say: on the left, a solid nodule measure 10 x 8 x 9 mm versus 8 x 6 x 4 mm previously, a predominantly solid nodule measures 18 x 9 x 14 mm versus 13 x 9 x 12 mm on the previous study and 15 x 13 x 14 mm in 2014, a predominantly solid nodule measure 9 x 9 x8 mm versus 10 x 6 x 4 mm previously. Status post right lobectomy. Can you tell me what this means? I have had a partial thyroid removal years ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the ultrasound report you have furnished, it states that a solid nodule is present on the left love of thyroid gland, which is growing in size compared with the previous scan reports.

Hence, it needs to be evaluated further by undertaking fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) investigation along with clinical correlation, to decide on the further course of management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
