What Does The Following Fecalysis Report Suggest?

Hello, This is the stool routine test report: - STOOL ANALYSIS PHYSICAL EXAMINATION - STOOL ROUTINE COLOUR: YELLOW CONSISTANCY: SEMI-SOLID MUCUS: ABSENT Blood: Absent MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION - STOOL OVA: ABSENT CYST: ABSENT TROPOZOITE: ABSENT EPITHELIAL CELLS: NIL Pus Cells: 2-3 /hpf RED BLOOD CELLS: ABSENT MACROPHAGES: ABSENT This is for an 8 year old male child who was having loose stools for 2-3 days. He was given some antibiotics to control the problem. It is better now but the doctor asked to get a routine stool test done. Is there any cause for concern fromthe above report? Thanks.

Dear friend.. I have gone through your question..
The given fecal analysis report shows nothing abnormal except for a few pus cells which can be a normal finding after an episode of loose stools.
There is no evidence of any parasitic infections, ova or cyst in the feces.
In the given age group rota virus and E.coli are the most common causes for diarrheal diseases.
There is nothing to be concerned in the given fecal analysis report. Most of the diarrheal diseases in this age group are self resolving.
Proper hydration with Oral Rehydrating Solution, proper nutrition and Zinc supplementation is only required.
Make the child understand the importance of clean and safe drinking water, proper hand washing, good sanitation, good and proper food and personal hygiene.
