What Does The Following Chest X-ray Report Suggest?

My recent chest x-ray showed a general increase in interstitial markings with irregular Sand T opacities in all lung zones of perfusion/1. Also o questionable 5mm nodule in the peripheral aspect of the left upper lung zone. I work in a chlorinated bleach plant. How concerned should I be with these findings?

The X-ray findings are suggestive of interstitial lung disease/ fibrosis (ILD), which is injury leading to fibrosis of lung interstitium. This can occur due to several reasons and prolonged occupational exposure to chlorine can cause ILD.
The peripheral lung nodule requires a biopsy to see if it is malignant or not.

Management of Interstitial lung disease is long term and mainly supportive. It is important to stop smoking (if you do so) and take precautions to avoid inhalation of chlorine gas at the workplace.
