What Does The Following PET Scan Report Suggest?

I got a pet scan done for prorate cancer concerns of metastatic spread. It showed as one of the findings that I had severe atherosclerosis involving coronary arteries. No one mentioned this and I just saw it when I reviewed the test results some six months later. Is this some thing that should be addressed immediately or can I wait until my next scheduled appointment with my cardiac Dr. He has never mentioned it be fore and is only treating me for a leaking aortic valve an high blood presure.

welcome to hcm ..severe atherosclerosis in coronary arteries is not normal .please visit a local primary physicuam and get the ECG done and if there are changes in ecg and if you are having symptoms of chest pain or heaviness on physical or mental exertion or exposure to cold then you should see your cardiologist as soon as possible ..but if you donot have above said symptoms and your ecg is normal then you can wait upto scheduled visit
