What Does The Following CT Scan Report Suggest?

My dad is 74 and have a hypertension he took CT scan and the result is that there is hypodensity in the inferior medial (ocipital) surface f the cerebellar hermisphere. Widend sulci with prominent subarachinoid space. Interpretation: posterior circulation ischemia (PICA territory) + Age relater artophy

it means that your father have occlusion of small vessles that supply this part of brain and it may have already persisted for some time so some irreversible changes may have occurred. There is no specific treatment now, but to take aspirine or some other antiagregant therapy. Atrophy is normal for his age. This issue may lead to loss of balance and some psychological changes. He should see neruologist for further steps,but this doesnt seem to be something life threathening.
