Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, Thanks for using healthcaremagic! I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns. As a practicing doctor I can assure your the above mentioned report is almost normal nothing to worry in it.Your eosinophil count is slightly elevated (very mild increase ) may be due to some minor infection.Apart from that everything looks fine you don't need to worry regarding this. Nothing abnormal with basophil because it has got got least proportion among white blood cells and in many samples no basophils are detected.
If you are interested I can teach you a simple mnemonic to remember the percentage of individual components of WBCs. Here it is.. Never Let Monkeys Eat Bananas Neutrophils (60%) Lymphocytes (30%) Monocytes (6%) Eosinophils (3%) Basophils (1%) You will get a rough estimate by this funny mnemonic. Hope I have answered your query. Wishing you good health. Regards. Dr. Shinas
