What Does The HSG Result Indicate?

Hi, would like to ask regarding my HSG result as below : 1. IV Buscopan was administered. Contrast was introduced into uterus without difficulty. Uterine Cavity is normal. Right fallopian tube is normal and there was free spill of contrast noted in the RT Hemipelvis. There is marked initial left cornual spasm which is relieved with IV Buscopan. Conclusion : 1. Normal uterine cavity. 2. Both fallopian tubes are normal & patent. 3. Initial left cornual spasm relived with IV Buscopan. I was married for 2 years and with no pregnancy history. Thanks

Hello,

Your HSG result indicates that both fallopian tubes are normal and uterine cavity is normal and patent. Cornual spasm is only transient and is relieved by Buscopan. So it can't be a cause of infertility. In short, your uterus and tubes are normal and there is no problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
