What Does Swelling Behind The Right Ear Indicate?

Sir,I am a malaylee.my self ANITHA. Sir l have a swelling behind right ear.My FNAC test result is,MACROSCOPY: Aspirated 1.5ml of straw coloured fluid.Studied 3 smears.The smears are paucicellular.The smear show cyst fluid only. Sir what is paucicellular smear? Is it harmful? I have also dandruff problems.and sinusitis cough related problems. Is it harmful to my lymph nodes? And I am also confused with TB related problems.

Hello,

It could be seroma or swollen lymph nodes. Pauci cellular indicates the sample does not contain any cells and thus it is inconclusive. You can opt for a repeat aspiration.
