What Does Sugar Level 139 Indicate?
While camping with friends this weekend, I probably eat different than usual but not all bad. In the middle of the night, I woke up, used the bathroom and was going back to bed when I felt dizzy, nausiataed and sweated like never before- very clamy. This has never happened before. The next day a friend took my blood sugar by poking my finger and placing the swab in her diabetic tester. It read 139 and this was probably 8 hrs after the episode. Think this should be checked out?

Dear friend i can understand your concern
The fasting blood sugar between 100-125 is called as impaired fasting blood sugar.
blood sugar more than or equal to 126 mg/dl is considered as diabetes.
The major symptoms of diabetes are
1.increase frequency of urination
2.increase thirst
3. unexplained weight loss
4.uncontrolled infections and non healing wounds
5.blurred vision
6.too much hunger
most of this symptoms are due to high blood sugars in blood
in some conditions there might be transient imbalance of blood sugar due to infections which will become normal after eradication of infection from body.
in case of any known family history of diabetes its worth having a check up
i suggest to check for average blood sugar called Hba1c andGTT for better analysis of condition.
