What Does Spotting Without Menstruation Mean?

Supposed to start my period tomorrw. Been trying to get pregnant for 3 months now. The last few days I have had some discharge, clear at first then brownish tinted and now back to clear. I ve taken a few pregnancy tests, but they have come back negative. Could i be pregnant and it s just too early? When is the best time to take a test?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

Spotting without menstruation can means many things.There are the possibilities
- first is that you are having bleeding from cervix(lower end of uterus). Bleeding is mostly related to mechanical trauma due to vigorous sex or less vaginal lubrication. It could also due to some problem in cervix
- Secondly spotting could also mean implantation bleeding. This happens after 7-10 days of ovulation (just before your period). This bleeding is normally pinkish in colour & is light.
- Bleeding could also mean hormonal imbalance or urinary tract infection.

As per your second query, Best time to do a Urine pregnancy test is by first urine of morning.
