What Does Sore Throat With Red Spots, White Ulcers And Inflamed Tonsil Indicate?

I first presented with high fever (103) and typical flu symptoms - including sore throat and what doctor described as sores on the palate. She said it looked like mouth hand foot disease, though that was ruled out since my hands and feet look fine. A strept test came back negative. A couple days later, I am only left with sore throat, including red spots, white ulcers and one bright red inflamed tonsil. Any ideas? Do I need to go back in?

Hi.
This is most probably a condition called Vincent's angina. Aphthous ulcers seen here are due to the bacteria causing Vincent's. This gives Enfluenza like symptoms to start with. Rare but can become serious sometimes. Proper antibiotic care , antiinflammatory medicines and probiotics are necessary. Needs plenty of water orally to keep the mouth clean.
Gargles should be avoided as the mucosa is already diseased .
