What Does Sharp Pain In The Hips Indicate?

I getting a very shark pain in my left hip where I have steel rod and the pain at times radiates down to my entire left leg, but the majority is my hip. It started happening on labor day of this year. In 2013 as a result of a drunk driver I was hit head on by an 18 wheeler. I had both legs & hips broken and rods inserted. Also, I had a fracture to my C-2 and 9 broken ribs. Yes, I am a miracle (lol). I am truly grateful to God to be here today. How can I can if a rod is loose in my hip?

hi sir/mam, really god is great and you are very lucky.the symptoms may be due to heterotopic or new bone formation, periprosthetic fractures, dislocation of the implant and its impingement on nerve plexus.we can arrive at a specific diagnosis only with an x ray, which is essential for timely and appropriate treatment.so,relax and have a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon to prevent any complications and for a better intervention.hope you are satisfied with my answer.any other queries are welcome with pleasure.thank you.take care.bye.
