What Does Sharp Pain Around The Hips Indicate?

Hi. I experience sharp pain around my hips and love handles upon touch. I have no other past medical history or chronic conditions other than obesity. I have advised doctors and massage therapists to avoid touching me there. The sensation is a sharp and sudden pain that makes me tense up and ball my fists.
