What Does Severe Pain In The Right Leg Indicate?

For about a week, I have severe constant pain in my right upper leg muscle (hamstring). It seems to be worse at night, and I cannot find any position to get comfortable. I am unable to sleep. At times the pain seems to be in my right calf, but is really concentrated in my upper leg all the way to the buttocks.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the pain may be sciatica. This is pain due to trauma, compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve.

This may cause the symptoms that you are experiencing. There are different causes of sciatica and the treatment may vary slightly according to the cause found.
It would be best to see your doctor for assessment which would include examination and imaging of the lower back and hips.

I hope this helps
