What Does Retained Product Of Conception In Left Ovarian Cyst Mean?

Good after noon sir, i have done my usg in yesterday and i like to report by urinary bladder is distended with smooth walls. No eveidence of diverticulum or calculus. Uterus:is anterverted and normal in size. No focal mass lesion is seen within myomertium. Endometrial thickness measures 6.00mm. Minimal echogenic subtances noted that within the endometrial cavity.No obvious demonstrable gestational sac / fetal pole is seen. uterus measures 83.9 X 52.9 X 33.6 mm. OVaries:Both ovaries are narmal in size. right ovary measures 28.6 X 14.4 mm. Left ovary measures 35.1 X 17.5 mm and shows an exophytic cystic SOL, approximately measuring 27.9 X 18.2mm. IMPRESSION: ? RETAINED PRODUCT OF CONCEPTION LEFT OVARIAN CYST. This reoprt is I dont understand. SO, please kindly to clarify of above the report and if is report basis safe or not safe.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Minimal products of conception indicate a recent abortion or termination of pregnancy after which a dilation and currettage procedure was not done. After an abortion or medical termination an evacuation and currettage of the cavity need to be conducted at times as the gestational sac at times needs evacuation. Please speak to your doctor regarding this. Products of conception= fetal parts and gestational sac. Also found was an ovarian cyst.
