Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, my former employee lives in a village in Indonesia, and during a medical check up, her doctor told her that she has a "diastolic click". May I know what it means and if there is any degree of seriousness to it? Or could it be just something that not be be serious at all? Thanks!
Diastolic click can be found when there is abnormal heart valve function. It's seriousness can be jugged only with echocardiography. If there is no complaint, sometimes it can be a benign finding, without any serious abnormality. But if your friend has complaints, I would advise him to undergo echocardiography.
