What Does Presence Of Focal Fat Necrosis And Fibrosis In A Mammogram Report Indicate?
To make a long story short, I had swollen lymph nodes under left arm. Had dionostic mammogram found like three spots so did biopsy and the Doctor just came in and said it wasn t cancer. (Which is great), but then gave me a paper some of it says,Focal fat necrosis present. Fibrosis identified. I m in alot of pain and don t know what to do, Please can you tell me what all this means..?? Thank You!!

Hello,
The three spots in breast show fat necrosis and fibrosis. Fat necrosis and fibrosis may occur due to trauma to breast tissue.
You can take painkillers for pain and hot fomentation also. The swollen lymph nodes under left arm also need FNAC to know the nature of these swellings.
