What Does Positive UPT Post Cytotec Usage Indicate?

hi doc ive been bleeding for 4days inspite of getting my pt test result postive.. not totally bleeding but a spot. at first it was like a plasma whch is reddish. since this is unwanted pregnancy ive taken a cytotec what would i do. becoz ive taken a second pregnancy test but stil it was postive what would i do? help me

Understand your concern
Pregnancy test become negative 7-10 days after abortion. Following are the causes of positive UPT post Cytotec usage: done before 7-10 days, incomplete abortion or failure of pill, molar pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy. So please repeat test at 10 days after abortion If it still positive consult the gynecologist and go for USG scan to diagnose incomplete abortion (treated by misoprostol or d & c), ectopic pregnancy(treated by surgery) and molar pregnancy ( treated by surgery with chemotherapy).
