What Does Peeling Vaginal Skin Causing Discoloration Indicate?

Hi, I have skin peeling between my legs, looks brownish. It s irritated and burns when I touch it. I just got off my period so thought it was the pad? Or I m using a soap that I m not having a good reaction to? Inside the lips of my vagina is brown like dirt follicles but I thought that was linked to my period.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Peeling of skin and its reaction to inside vaginal mucosa could be due to allergy to use of soap or due to dryness caused due to contact dermatitis.
Kindly change the soap and use a medicated one, which could help you.
For the lesions, you can apply moisturizer cream or lotion along with hydrocortisone cream twice daily.
Gradually, your symptoms should be better and should subside completely.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
