Hello,
Swollen labia minora are seen in the following conditions:
1) Yeast infection
2) Bacterial vaginosis
3) Trichomoniasis
4) Allergies or irritants
5) Bartholin's cyst
The following are treatment options:
1)
Steroid creams may be beneficial for those with swelling caused by allergies or sexual intercourse.
2) Women with a yeast infection may need to take an over-the-counter or prescription antifungal medication, which may be applied topically or taken orally.
3) Swollen labia caused by bacterial infections such as bacterial vaginosis or trichomoniasis can be treated with antibiotics.
4) Bartholin’s cysts do not always require treatment. However, some will require antibiotics, surgical
drainage, or even surgical removal.
Please do consult a gynecologist as soon as possible. There is no need to worry as swollen labia is completely treatable.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
