Hi, I ve been experiencing pain in my right shoulder for a couple of months. It began as muscle soreness that worsens in the cold weather. Now, it is almost non-stop severe pain in my upper right are elbow to neck. It worsens when I drive, move, hold the mouse for My computer. It is not affected by raising my arms over my head. I began waking with severe headaches this past two weeks so I began back on my bp meds a couple of days ago. The crazy thing is my leg spasms began back when I started back the bp meds. I have not been able to sleep all night with the severe nerve pains and spasms in my left calf and foot.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
By your history and description, the possibility of capsular tear of right shoulder joint is more likely. So better to consult an orthopedic doctor and get done a clinical examination of the shoulder joint.
X-ray and MRI of the shoulder joint will diagnose if the capsular tear is there or not. If the tear is there then you need arthroscopic surgery and physiotherapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
