What Does Pain In The Right Knee Indicate?

I recently was walking up some steps and suddenly had a pain in my right knee. I was in trouble because i was on a bus tour. I put ice over night until I could see a Dr. the next morning. The Dr. 1st thought i had ruptured a baker s cyst which seemed likely because of the way it felt. but after waiting all day, I chose to come home in a few days and see about it. I the took an x-ray and an MRI and found that I had a complex tear in the posterior horn, root of the lateral meniscus with radial tear. Multiloculated large complex Baker s Cyst and Tricompartment osteorthritis. I was asked to give it time because it might heal on its on. The most might be to do go in and do light surgery to clean it out. What is your opinion. Still having problems getting up and walking.
