What Does Pain In The Lower Abdomen On The Right Side Indicate?
Hi i have a slight pain in my lower right abdomen. It is only painful while sitting. If I am laying down or walking around then no pain. Had diarrhea a couple days ago and now none. No pain when pressing in said spot. Wondering if this is appendicitis or maybe a muscle pull.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello,
The pain you have could be due to - appendicitis, muscle pull (as you think). Also according to the gender of the sufferer, it can be ovarian, tubular problems -in female or original hernia on the male. An MRI of the part would reveal the cause followed by specific management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
