General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain in your hip area that radiates to your knees, is probably caused from the spur in your hip joint.
This pain tipically improves when the patient rests, and it tipically worsens by movements.
It might also be related to lower back nerve damage from a disc bulging in another level.
To exclude each of the diagnosis, the history provided isn't enough.
You should consult a doctor for a physical examination and other radiologic examinations.
Meanwhile you can use Ibuprofen 400 mg for some days, for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
