Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Pain In The Groin Area Upon Standing And Sitting Indicate?
I m a 56 year old female with pain in my upper thigh/groin area when I first stand from sitting down, or when I change directions when walking. I ve been going to a chiropractor because I thought it was an issue with my lower back/hip. Seems that s not helping. Could this be a symptom of something else?
This kind of pain usually appears in sacroiliitis, slipped disc at upper lumbar level, hip pathology. I suggest X rays of hips, pelvis and lower lumbar spine. Treatment depends on cause. In the meantime start pain killers and muscle relaxants.
Hope I have answered your query.
