What Does Pain From The Waist To The Shoulder Indicate?

I have pain on my right side from my waist to my shoulder (in my back) mostly when I am in bed. It is very painful. I had lumbar spine surgery two years ago and have a damage sciatic nerve. Could this be the cause? If not, is this something I should worry about?

Get X-ray shoulder AP and lateral view. And X-ray cervical spine AP and lateral view. You should consult an orthopedic surgeon after results.
