General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are several medical conditions that can cause pain behind knee. One of the common causes can be meniscus tear. I suggest you to do an x ray of the knee and maybe a CT scan to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest you to use anti-inflammatory medication to treat the pain such as Ibuprofen three times a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
