General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
It might be advisable for you to have some tests to try and find out the cause of the muscle spasms and if the tests come out normal than we can think fibromyalgia is a possible cause.
I would recommend you to have the following tests:
- electrolytes (Ca+, Na+, Mg+, Cl-) and creatinine
- general metabolic profile like fasting glucose, lipids, CBC, ERS, ALT, AST, bilirubuine, etc.
-TSH

Meanwhile you can take Magnesium supplements daily as it is found that they reduce muscle spasms and make sure you drink enough water during the day (average 2 liters of water a day)

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
