What Does Numbness On The Right Side Of The Body?

Hi Dr., I am experiencing numbness in the right side of my body from buttocks, legs to foot and right arm to three fingers in the right hand. Should I be concerned with my heart or possibly a pinched nerve in the upper extremity? The numbness in the right leg and foot feels achy as well and colder as though poor circulation. It s been about a week now but worse today than last week.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

This intensity of numbness indicates possible nerve compression at spinal cord level. I suggest an evaluation with Neurophysician, primary management with basic molecules with consideration of getting MRI spine as per the clinical concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel
