What Does Non Itchy Spots In Circles On Upper Body Mean?

What does it mean if I have spots on my upper body that do not itch or hurt, but they are in circles and have a lighter skin tone? They are from my neck to upper part of my chest, on the tops of my shoulders, and are on the top part of my back near my neck.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
From the description, it seems you could be having a superficial fungal infection known as pityriasis versicolor. The same could be treated by oral and topical antifungal. Usually we prescribe a single stat oral dose of fluconazole 400 mg along with application of topical antifungal cream two times in a day like ketoconazole or luliconazole or clotrimazole etc. Sometimes the hypopigmentation may not resolve completely, in such cases other medicines mainly aimed at inducing pigmentation needs to be added.
I would advise that you meet a dermatologist nearby to confirm diagnosis and start treatment accordingly
