What Does My Ultrasound Report Suggest?

I presented to my GP with back pain, bloating, and generally unwell. I asked for a ca125 test- my result was 68. I just went for an U/S and the results were endometrial echo is thickened at 24 mm. There is a minimally complex cyst within the right ovary measuring 3.1 x 2.9 x 2.3 cm. I have been bleeding for 13 days which is abnormal and the first time it has happened. I am very worried. I see a specialist tomorrow. What are your thoughts and recommendations?

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The result says 68 which is slight more than normal - but definitive is always a biopsy.
2.The thickened endometrium with bleeding have few causes depending on the age of the patient.
3.Complex ovarian cyst needs through investigation as possibilities to turn in to malignancy are there.
4.Once you consult with your specialist, i would recommend you to get a cross sectional study to see any further spread of the disease.
5.Depending on the findings - if no spread - recommended treatment will be operative.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
