Radiologist 's  Response
Hello

Your findings suggests low sperm motility.
Normally sperm motility should be at least 55 %.Your findings suggest overall 35 % motility,so it is low.
You may need proper evaluation for low motility.
You may need clinical correlation and investigations.
You may need routine hemogram,random blood sugar,ultrasound of scrotum,hormone profile,urine RE/ME.
You may need anti-oxidants.You should take healthy and nutritious diet.
Avoid alcohol and smoking if you take these things.
Go for exercise regularly.

Other factors like sperm count and morphology are normal.

If infertility persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques like IUI etc.

Get well soon.

Pathologist and Microbiologist Dr. Shailja Puri's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The interpretation of semen analysis report is as follows:
The physical features- appearance, consistency, volume and pH are all within normal range.
The normal sperm count should be 15 million / mL. Your sperm count is 43 million / mL which is normal count.
A normal semen sample should have at least 42% motility.
However, in your case the progressive motility is low at 35%.
A low motility can interfere with ability of the sperms to travel up the female reproductive tract and thus lead to conception.
A normal semen sample should show 50% normal morphology.
In your case the morphology is normal at 89%.

Thus, the motility of the sperms is low, rest all parameters are normal.
You can consult your referring doctor for further work up.

Thanks and take care
Dr Shailja Puri
