The E.Coli infection is one of the common bacteria which can cause a urinary tract infection. I suggest using an antibiotic such as Ciprofloxacin twice a day for a week.
I also suggest using an anti inflamamtory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I recommend to drink liquids and especially cranberry juice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi General & Family Physician
