What Does My Below SGPT Levels Suggest?

Dear Dr I have been observing my SGPT & GGT levels are slidely high from last 3 years , every dear we do have check up from thyrocare hospital as part of corporate package . SGPT - 45.5 GGT - 60.50 very thing as part of my reports are in normal range . as readigs OF SAME TEST IS VERY HIGH I M WORRIED DO I NEED TO UNDERGO ANY TEST PLEASE ADVISE NAVEEN 0000

Hi Naveen,

I understand your concern.

The slightly elevated SGPT and GGT are indicating possible liver disease. It could be due to fatty liver or due to consumption of alcohol.

I advise to run an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation. If you consume alcohol, try to quit. Eat liver healthy foods and take silymarin for liver detox.

repeat testing after 3 weeks of making such changes.
