What Does Monocytes As 1.0 From Blood Test Indicate?

I had a annual blood test and the monocytes came back as 1.0 and the range says it should be under 0.8. I have been dealing with a fever of 101 for the past 3 days so wonder if (having a fever) will impact that test? Everything else was in range of normal

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Mild elevation of monocytes is not significant.
2. No, it wont impact the test.
3. Based on location and organism, antibiotics should help. Monocytosis is commonly seen in malaria. However, thrombocytopenia should also be seen. As it is normal, not to worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
