What Does Lower End Of The Placenta Level Appearing 1.1 Cm Away From Internal OS Suggest?

when my wife was 20 weeks 6 days pregnant her placenta position was lower border extending upto internal os. now she is 28 weeks 3 days pregnant and her placenta position is lower end of placenta appears 1.1 cm away from internal os. is it improved or not?

hi,your wife is having a condition called placenta previa.the condition has nt improved.these patients are candidates for elective cesarean section and there is no role of normal delivery in such cases.they have to take precautions like no intercourse,no lifting weight and rest.she should start on tab duphaston 10 mg twice a day.and should keep a watch not to have pain in the lower abdomen or any bleeding.take care and all the best.
