What Does Low Amniotic Fluid During Pregnancy Indicate?

Hello I m in my 37 weeks...I just go to my obgyne today...and she request to have bps cause she s not sure about may amniotic fluid when I m in my 28 weeks I got ultrasound and it say Normohydramnios ..but now my ob say that maybe my amniotic fluid not enough..

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Normohydramnios means your amniotic fluid is adequate. The gynecologist might have suspected low amniotic fluid based on her clinical examination. Do a repeat ultrasound from a reliable center and evaluate. If amniotic fluid index is low we have to induce labor.
