Hello,
I can understand your concern for inverted nipple with a slight odor and redness.

You have not mentioned your age and related medical history so that I could have deduced the most probable of the cause of the same. Even then after analyzing your query it is best for you to meet surgeon at the earliest.

These kinds of findings are not considered good and are always to be looked with caution and earliest management should be sorted out.
For the part of discharge you can meet a family physician and get an antibiotic prescribed for the same so that if any infection is present can be managed.

All the best.
