What Does Grey Zone Mean?

My sister is in the ER and we are at home, the blood work they did came back in the grey zone. They gave her nitro and are admitting her for more tests. She has a nitro patch on now but that is not normally one of the meds she takes. What does grey zone mean

Your sister's test results in grey zone means the results are neither negative nor positive they are in between thats why they are admitting her for more tests.Nitroglycerin transdermal patches are used to prevent episodes of angina (chest pain) in people who have coronary artery disease.Hope this helps!
