What Does Grade I Maturity In The Ultrasound Scan Mean?

hello doctor, i am now 6th month of pregnant. in my 4th month of pregnancy, every thing was good. but all of sudden it was paining in abdomen part & doctoe told me take complete bed rest.i am 28yearsd now with 76 kgs. & now i am feeling good,but i just wanted to know that ,in my ultrascan, it has given that grade I maturity, what it means?

Placental grading refers to a ultrasound grading system of the placenta based on its maturity. There 4 types of grade: 0 to 3. Grading was based on the changes seen in ultrasound in three zones of placenta : chorionic plate, placental substance and basal layer, as the pregnancy advances.

Grade 1 maturity of of placenta is seen ultrasound during 18-29 weeks of pregnancy.
It is the earliest ultrasound changes of placental maturation.

In this grade, occasional parenchymal calcification and subtle indentations of chorionic plate are seen in ultrasound.
