Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Madam, am 30 years old and trying to conceive. Today i had been to the hospital and got HCG test done. The results indicate that both left and right fallopian tubes are normal with patent and free peritoneal spill noted. Just wanted to understand if the report is fine?
Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM. I appreciate your concern for the HSG test done.
Free peritoneal spillage means fallopian tubes are patent and there is no obstruction in them. This is perfectly normal HSG study. Fallopian tubes are the two tubular lateral extensions of the uterus, through which the ovum traverses. The tubes have to be patent, to be able to conceive naturally.
Hope this answers your query. Wishing you best of your health. A feed back is appreciated.
