What Does Dizziness After A Head Injury Indicate?

Hello on November 12th I tripped over my own feet, fell and hit my head hard, knocking myseld out cold. I do not know how long I was out but when I woke, I didn t know where I was only remebered hitting my head. I was afraid to sleep so I didnt. This happened around 4:00am. I did not go to sleep until 5:00am the next day. When I woke up I was dizzy. Didn t do too much of anything. The following day I was dizzy when I woke up but it went away. My head, neck and lower back are sore, my head is the worst. Once in awhile i get a sharp pain but quickly goes away. Should I be concerned?

* As per my clinical experience, the dizziness for a transient period of time is common for early period of 24 hours after head injury , which gradually diminishes with period of time.

* If persist beyond certain period with same intensity, then underlying brain damage with concussion, contusion or others has to be evaluated with an MRI brain for further guidelines.
