What Does Discomfort In The Left Arm Indicate?

Hi.... I ve been under a lot of stress lately. I was actually very ill for 33 years, w a severe recurring nausea and vomiting. Luckily I have not had an episode, since Jan 2016. As recently as Halloween, I started feeling strange feelings in my left arm sometimes, which I originally related to a chronic neck, sleeping wrong type of injury. But I had my blood pressure checked at the beginning of this month and a nurse was concerned. The feeling in my arm returned and I have checked my bp twice tonite 189/89 p 95..... And 145/87 p 91. How concerned should I be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

With the history of changing blood pressure (high BP), I would suggest for check up by a cardiologist. In spite of the fact that the trouble might be from your neck problem or improper sleeping posture. It is advisable to get heart problem excluded. Consult a cardiologist please.

Thank you.
